My 5 Best Apps for Success
This article is for the go-getters and the chronic list-makers who love utilizing technology to make their lives easier and more efficient. I used to spread all of my plans, thoughts, and ideas across a million different notebooks, but after getting extremely honest with myself and seeing that the execution of so many of these things was just not happening, I turned to the app store.
Here are my top 5 current favorite apps for success:
Structured
I love this app for scheduling out my day. I set up my next day the night before which helps me to be on autopilot when I wake up. It also has a great feature where you can copy your day so you’re not rewriting the same schedule all of the time.
I still also use a physical planner so I don’t pay for the premium version but I enjoy getting notifications about which tasks I should have already completed by a certain point in the day.
Milanote
This note-taking app is where I keep track of ideas for new articles.
My favorite feature is that you can create boards and draw lines within them connecting different concepts and ideas making it great for the visual note-takers out there.
One thing to note about this app is that the visual features are a lot more fun to use on the PC.
Milanote- Tool for Creative Organizing
MyFitnessPal
Health is, to me, a critical aspect of success which is why I included Myfitnesspal. I think peak health and fitness translate well to entrepreneurial and spiritual success.
Keeping track of my caloric intake as well as the nutritional content of my diet is key to understanding my energy levels and fluctuations in weight, both of which have a huge impact on my day-to-day productivity.
This app has helped me drop a stubborn 7lbs so, naturally, I love it.
It’s tedious at first to track your food but you get used to it after a week.
Notion
This project management app is where I house all of the different ideas and projects I am currently working on and looking to pursue.
You can easily track every detail of your life down to the books you’re reading and the recipes you love.
My favorite feature of this app is Projects because you can create and track tasks necessary to complete a project as well as include necessary files and links that pertain to it as well.
Regardless of what it is you’re working on, the use of this app will certainly speed it up and make everything in your process more enjoyable.
Opal
This social-media blocking app might be my favorite on this list. If you have ever noticed that you’re getting too sucked away into overconsuming other peoples’ lives and not getting anything worth your time out of it, it might become yours too.
I have this app set to block my use of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok from 8 am-5 pm. It does allow me to hit snooze on the app for 5-15 minutes since I have the difficulty level set to normal. I probably utilize that feature 3-4 times a day at 5 minutes max, which isn’t great but it's so much better than the amount of time I was previously spending on there.
There was a noticeable difference in my productivity immediately after I downloaded it. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny, especially when you consider the value of your time.
This what happens if you click on an app you’re currently blocked from. If you want to override the block, you have to go into the Opal app and manually snooze the blocker.
